Presented by SIZED in the West Village at Donna Karan’s UrbanZen, INDUSTRIALISM explored how material, process, and production shape our relationship to objects — especially in an era defined by shifting supply chains and evolving access to raw materials. The exhibition considered the aesthetics and politics of making: what it means to produce, what’s available to be used, and how materials carry meaning in both function and form.

Spanning two floors and featuring over 100 works, INDUSTRIALISM brought together nearly 50 artists, designers, dealers, and galleries from around the world. The show traversed a wide range of disciplines — from painting and archival design to sound sculpture, photography, lighting, and automotive design — offering a layered investigation of industrial craft and collectable design.

The exhibition was accompanied by the Mortlach by Design Lounge, a dedicated space developed in collaboration with Mortlach Whisky. The lounge paired bespoke Mortlach design objects with select pieces from the exhibition, creating a contextual retreat that hosted private events throughout the run, including a Frieze Art Fair brunch and a VIP opening celebration.

As SIZED’s inaugural New York exhibition, INDUSTRIALISM marked a pivotal moment in the studio’s programming — bringing together a wide spectrum of creative voices in a physical conversation around access, intention, and the evolving nature of production.
